  1. We just switched to Bluehost VPS for WordPress and have had nothing but issues. We have about 60 web portals that we install wordpress on, since we have moved to the “wordpress” hosting, we are unable to use the one click wordpress install. After several phone calls later, they say “its broke and we are working on it” Im starting to think we chose the wrong host.

  2. I have been with Bluehost for about a year, awesome in the beginning, but now a year later can not reach anyone to discuss issues. Every time I call is a 25 + minutes wait (maybe more because I hang up). Stay away from this company. BTW, I have also emailed support w no response.

  3. I switched to bluehost about 8 months ago and havent had any issues with them. My wordpress site loads quickly, their technical support has always been helpful, uptime has been great, and they offer a wide range of products. I would recommend bluehost for wordpress.

  4. I have used Bluehost for about 3 years and never had any issues until recently. It seems their support has dropped a notch and my sites keep going down once a day for the last couple of days. When I call and talk to support about my sites going down, all the say is “we are working on it”. After 3 years I would hate to move to a new hosting provider. Maybe this is just a hickup.

  5. I’ve always run dedicated servers, so I haven’t been on a shared hosting plan in awhile. My developer urged me to move over to Blue Host shared hosting. From day one, nothing but problems. My website was down more than it was up. The site speed changes from 8 second loads all the way to 46 seconds all day long. I swear every technician has a canned excuse ready to go. They told me to expect downtime on a shared host. They told me to move to cloud hosting and I’ll always have a redundant site in case one server goes down. Total lies! My website is down just as much if not as often and the second cloud host NEVER takes over. I’ve inquired multiple times why the cloud host never picks up when my primary host goes down.. canned excuse: It’s propagating.

Avoid this host like the plague. I for one, am happily jumping ship. Horrible customer service, long wait times on the phone and chat.

  6. I host roughly 8 wordpress and html sites with bluehost and havent had any issue. The support has always been friendly and understanding. My sites never go down, unless i do something to cause them to go down. The price is right, great features, great uptime. What more can you ask for in a host?

  7. The support is hit or miss with who ever answers the phone when calling for technical support. Sometimes I feel like they have no clue what they are talking about. Im fairly technical and can usually narrow things down.

The features are OK. Nothing different than any other host.

Uptime: about every 6 months my site has issues of going down for about 15 minutes and then back up for about a week at a time.

I would pass on recommending bluehost.

    • I agree 100%. Bluehost is nothing special. Half the time the 1-click install for wordpress doesnt work and you have to manually install wp, which is a pain. The support is completely hit or miss. Not consistent.

  8. Its an ok host. I havent had any major issues, but their support is lacking. But other than that I have havent had any issues with my site going down.

  9. Bluehost is simply the best host available in the market today, with the speed and the customer support and easy one-click wordpress installation, bluehost helps to easily start and run blogs, websites and landing page..
Also, the refund service is also amazing.
Their Hosting Plans are have an amazing Pricing, they help startups start their blogs with such low pricing at such an amazing value for price and speed.
Bluehost also provides a free domain with every new order and also a free website builder which requires absolutely no coding knowledge for building a website.

  10. Overall I am satisfied. Their cPanel could load a little quicker. The 1-click install is great, but pretty standard with all the hosting companies. Load times seem to be fair and their support is always helpful. Overall, I would say they are good, not great, but I would still recommend them.
